Body of Brazil is a member of the CapuraGinga schools of Brazilian Capoeira under the direction of Mestre Loka. CapuraGinga has locations in the US and Brazil.
Our studio in Beaverton Oregon was founded in 2015 by Monitor Cavalheiro. Ten years later we have survived a decade of challenges and rewards and we look forward to serving our Portland westside communities for years to come. Throughout this time we have welcomed students from many countries and with diverse backgrounds.
Body of Brazil provides beginning and advanced instruction of regional-style capoeira. As more people learn of the unique qualities of this sport it has grown in popularity for all ages. Capoeira masterfully emphasizes the art in the term martial arts. The unique blend of fighting skills with dance-like movement, light acrobatics, and mental challenges makes it the perfect way to increase personal confidence, physical health, and mental acuity.
